My farm store resides at 3424 S Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113 inside Anderson's Vacuum and Sewing.
Yes, that's a strange place for a yarn and spinning store, but Anderson's is our vacuum store, so it just worked out to have my store in the same building!

Through my love of alpacas, I rediscovered my passion for the fiber arts. I learned to knit as a preteen and taught myself to crochet and locker hook rugs while awaiting our first child. Then life happened. I did a little cross stitch, but between sports, school events--you know the drill--I drifted away from things fiber. Then one day, I discovered alpacas. Through them I discovered a fiber night at Lazy Daze Ranch out in Elizabeth, CO, at Sue and Tom Lindh's house (where I now board my alpacas), and my passion for fiber was rekindled. I had never felt anything like alpaca fiber and yarn.

So here we are today in 20120 with 25 alpacas and a fiber and spinning store. We specialize in natural fibers--alpaca, merino, BFL, yak, silk, and silk blends. We have yarns (including commercial, mini-millspun and handspun), rovings, batts, and raw fiber.

Blazing Star Ranch is a dealer for Majacraft, Ashford, Spinolution, Schacht, Louet and Kromski. We also have spinning supplies for these brands. If we don't have it, we'll order it! We are your go to spinning and weaving supply source in the metro Denver area!

We offer classes in a variety of the fiber arts. We offer Beginning Spinning Wheel classes on a regular basis, Beginning Waving, Intermediate Hand Spinning, Drop Spindling, Beginning Knitting, Beginning Crochet, and other in depth classes throughout the year. Be sure and check our schedule. Just click on the "More" tab above and go to "Our Events".

Wonderfully warm alpaca socks are available, as well as lovely hand-knit and crocheted items. So come on down and visit--or if you can't, shop on-line. Many items of the hand-made and handspun sort are one of a kind, so please call and make sure it's still available (and please be patient with me if something has been sold and I don't immediately get it off the website. I'll do my best so you're not diasappointed--but sometimes I just get wrapped up in the fiber!)
